Meeting Venue for C. G. Jung Society of Queensland

Our regular meeting place is located at Saint Mary’s Anglican Church Hall.

St Mary’s Anglican Church, often called “St Mary’s-on-the-Cliffs”, is a heritage-listed churchyard at 433, 447 & 449 Main Street, Kangaroo Point, Queensland, Australia.

How to find us

Car: The church complex is just south of the Story Bridge and on the southern side of St Vincent’s Hospital. The only way for car access to the Rectory, Church and Hall is to be driving from the south side of Brisbane, driving north on Main Street. After coming into the suburb of Kangaroo Point, River Terrace (and the park land) St Mary’s is on the left. Look for a small blue sign on the left that says “entrance to St Mary’s 100 metres”. Stay in the left hand lane even though the arrows on the roads indicate the lane is merging to the right. SLOW DOWN. You will drive under a pedestrian overpass. Watch for the tall thin sign indicating St Mary’s driveway entrance on the left. You take this driveway which goes up the hill and then around to the left. If coming from the airport or north side your GPS may want you to use the tunnel. Depending on traffic this may not be the best option as you have to get back onto main street and head north towards the Story Bridge. Note there is only one entrance in and out so be careful when entering or leaving the site.

Please note that there is limited car parking in the church grounds.

Ferry: From the City catch the City Ferry from Eagle St Pier; or from various stops catch the free City Hopper to Thornton St terminal. Walk up the hill and turn right onto Main St. Go past St Vincent’s hospital to the entrance to St Mary’s.

Bus: From the City catch the Bus no 234 and get off at stop 7; and then walk over the pedestrian overpass through the park to the gate between the park and the church. From the Woolloongabba bus station catch bus no 234 and get off at stop 7 and walk up from the hospital.

Other car parking, walking, bicycle: If parking on surrounding streets, e.g. in River Terrace, you can walk through the park and use the gate between the park and the church. You can also walk up the driveway if parking on other streets.
