In this introduction to SoulCollage® playshop, Lisa will guide you through the process of making and interpreting your own SoulCollage® cards. Absolutely no artistic skill required!
Using magazine images, glue, scissors and cardboard, SoulCollage® is deceptively simple, yet the insights and gifts that SoulCollage® facilitate are a constant surprise. As you craft each card with care and attention, your relationship with yourself, your community, and the internal and external archetypal energies that influence you is strengthened.
The session will cover:
Card Making: how to choose images using your intuition.
Journalling with your cards: discover the ‘voice’ of the card and its inherent gifts for you.
The Four Suits and Transpersonal Cards: explore how your inner personality parts, internal energy guides, external sentient beings (community), and external archetypal influences are symbolised.
Building Community: the community within you, and those who draw together for
the day, embracing and celebrating our diversity.
Helpful things to bring:
A favourite journal, if you have one.
A cushion for extra comfort.
A small plate of food to share for morning tea or lunch.
Absolutely no artistic skill required!
If you have a picture that is somehow important to you (and you’re willing to glue it down), please bring it with you.
Your SoulCollage® cards.
What is provided:
All materials will be supplied.
Tea, Coffee, water, light morning tea.
Facilitator | Lisa Bamforth
Discovering SoulCollage® in 2017, Lisa was immediately captivated and undertook the Facilitator training shortly after.
As a SoulCollage® workshop facilitator, Lisa creates welcoming, reflective spaces where creativity and inner wisdom can meet. Through images, intuition, and gentle guidance, Lisa supports participants to explore their inner landscape, celebrate their life guides, and find meaning in their individual symbology.
Influenced by the depth psychology of C.G. Jung, Lisa is especially interested in the ways images, symbols, and archetypes speak to the unconscious. Through SoulCollage®, Lisa invites participants to explore with curiosity and compassion, honouring the many parts of themselves and the stories they carry. Lisa is a social worker and has worked in community-based mental health and palliative care. Lisa currently serves on the C.G. Jung Society of Queensland’s committee as treasurer and acting secretary.
